M.M. (Marjorie) DeLuca spent her childhood in Durham City, England. After studying at the University of London, Goldsmiths College, she moved to Winnipeg, Canada, where she worked as a teacher of English Literature, then a freelance writer. She studied Advanced Creative Writing with Pulitzer Prizewinner Dr. Carol Shields.

She’s the author of five gripping suspense novels: Amazon bestseller, THE PERFECT FAMILY MAN (Canelo: an imprint of Penguin Random House); BookScan Top 100 and Apple Books Top 100 bestseller, THE SECRET SISTER (Canelo: an imprint of Penguin Random House); and critically acclaimed historical suspense, THE SAVAGE INSTINCT (Inkshares), which received starred reviews from Publishers’ Weekly and Booklist, and was featured as one of bestselling author, Kate Quinn’s books of the month in 2021. THE NIGHT SIDE, a dark psychological suspense with paranormal elements was published by Severn House in December 2023, and her latest publication, THE DIVORCE PARTY, came out in July 2025 (Bloodhound Books).

She’s been a panelist at Thrillerfest and Bouchercon, has presented workshops at When Words Collide, Calgary (2025) and been featured on top podcasts, The Thriller Zone, The Poisoned Pen Bookstore, Bookwild, Sisters in Crime National, Sisters in Crime Canada West and Crime Writers of Canada.
